There has been a lot of controversy about the latest video release from pop star Miley Cyrus and I just can’t understand it myself. In the film the nubile young singer is seen wearing white Lycra underwear which shows off her fabulously toned figure a treat. She does the usual writing about, bumping and grinding for all she’s worth and she tops it off with some mildly erotic moments where she can be seen licking on the head of a hammer. None too subtle stuff but to be fair to the girl it’s not as if she is cavorting nude on stage or taking part in an orgy with half a dozen well-endowed men. If only…
It seems to me that society is rather hypocritical and in fact even prudish when it comes to young women and how they can represent themselves. Men are rarely condemned for sexualised images and if we take the diet coke advertisement as an example we can see that the man is literally a sex object to be lusted after by the five women who coerce him to undress in order to ogle his impressive pectorals. Of course the excuse is that it is a reversal of the norm and therefore ironical. How convenient!
Escorts of course also have to bear opprobrium, aimed at them by individuals who deny the very essence of our being and the core motivation of our existence – desire for the opposite sex. Why should beautiful women be denied the right to utilise their impressive physical attributes just to satisfy a small number of repressed people? I say book that Hertfordshire or Middlesex escort, have that great time, live life to the full!
