Why do women believe in Horoscopes? Let me rephrase that. Why do a lot of women believe in Horoscopes? As an experiment I have been reading mine in a national tabloid newspaper for the past week or so and if I believed it then I have been in and out of a relationship, lost faith in a friend, started a new business venture, gained and lost over forty pounds in weight and I have rejected a contract offer stating that I want to renegotiate the terms of the deal! Let’s face it there are sixty million people in the United Kingdom. There are twelve star signs. That means on average there are five million people per star sign – though I accept there are probably more people born in the summer as a result of long nights spent in bed during the chill off winter but you get my point. There is no logical way that the ‘advice’ given in a daily horoscope could apply to more than a handful of people.
